What is IUI?

Also known as artificial insemination, this is a simple procedure where some sperm, previously cleaned and selected in the laboratory, is put into the woman’s womb, where it should find its way to the egg.

There are many reasons to consider IUI as a viable option to make your pregnancy a reality.

  • Hostile cervical conditions
  • Ovaric disfunction
  • Mild endometriosis

2. Sperm capacitation
We collect semen after 2 to 3 days of abstinence with no ejaculation and we wash it in the laboratory (sperm cells are separated from seminal plasma).

3. Insemination
We put the sample in a sterilized flexible catheter which we insert throught the patient’s cervix and then is injected in the uterine cavity.

How do I know if I need a sperm donor?
